From the Principal's Desk
Welcome to another fabulous year at Lincoln Elementary! I am very excited to be a part of an amazing team of educators to bring our best to our students everyday! Today’s society brings forth many challenges that we must support our students through before we can even begin to scratch the academic surface! There are many ways in which you can help engage your child at home to ensure they are ready for school each day!...
★ Ensure adequate rest each night.
★ Decrease/limit screen time.
★ Allow play time. Go outside for fresh air! Gift your child the opportunity to run around and laugh each night!
Read! You can read drive through menus, cereal boxes, newspapers, magazines, and of course books! The more exposure children have to literature, the more likely they will be to find common interests and want to read MORE!
I cannot wait to get to know everyone and engage all families to be a part of their child’s educational journey! We cannot do this without you! It takes all of us to provide the best well-rounded experience for your child! We will work diligently to ensure your child is safe, loved, supported and growing academically. With all of us working together on the same team, we will move mountains for your children!
As we continue with the implementation of the “Read by Grade Three Law”, it is important to realize that one of our goals is to ensure your child is reading at grade level. To ensure this, reading at home is an integral piece of meeting this goal! Information about this law and the retention mandates will be shared out after the school year begins. Keep your eyes open for this important information!
Let’s make this the best year yet for our young Tigers! We will work hard to instill a love for learning where all students come to school energized with a smile on their face. Together as a collective and collaborative team with families, staff, and students I know we can accomplish this goal!
I have an open door policy, please contact me or stop in and see me at any time!
Let’s learn, lead, and believe together!
